This will drive business growth

With almost 100% certainty, a dramatic improvement in DCS social media and website management should result accordingly in a dramatic improvement in the number of online leads and clients, resulting in DCS business growth.

We would expect that after 3 - 6 months, the startup costs should already start to be offset by incremental sales, and within a year that new business would dwarf the expenses, resulting in a decisive net gain, and continuing or growing the team should be a "no-brainer" 🤓

1. Create new content that provides company information and shows professionalism.

2. Respond and engage with the social media platforms, fielding questions and comments.

3. Grow the social media communities through continuous posting and engagement.

DCS online status

Social Media

Currently all DCS social media platforms need attention, in all areas from content creation, to testimonials, social proof, editorials, and stories, technology, etc.. as well as community engagement. Much of the activity will result in substantially more traffic to the website, hence it must be updated too;

Website

The current website is very outdated in look and feel, and needs a complete overhaul. It will become particularly important once the social media activity begins to drive more interest, this will result in new traffic to the website.

The primary business website remains an instrumental tool in assuring new clients get the best impression of professionalism, and can make the difference between someone picking up the phone or not.

How to optimise cost

To really make an impact for DCS with overall online presence, we need to apply attention to so many disciplines, across all online platforms. And for that we need to retain the full scope of specialists. But find a way to do it at a low cost.

How could we achieve this? We won't assign dedicated resource, but rather pick up the natural gaps in people's weekly schedules.

Image We'll make use of shared resources
  1. 1

    Maintain all specialist skills

Graphic design | photography | videography
Social media marketing | copy writing
    Content creation | community engagement
    Web development | Web hosting
    Web management | SEO analysis

  2. 2

    Utilise each resource during gaps

Each week there are a few natural gaps in work flow that pop up either ad-hoc or routinely across all staff functions, and the DCS account will take advantage of these gaps, in order to optimise monthly costs, rather than have dedicated resource.

  3. 3

    The downside is speed

The negative side effect is that tasks will naturally take longer than using dedicated resources. But the cost is dramatically lower, so it's a good starting point, and the strategy can always be modified as we go if the benefits become evidently visible.

Website Development

We see improvement of the DCS website as business critical to online presence.

1. It is a fairly large project

Although quite straightforward, the current site contains a lot of information, that needs to be converted into logical blocks, summarised into good copy, and made visually attractive and aesthetically pleasing to navigate

2. Develop within the monthly budget

We can develop the new site as time permits, without expending any additional budget. Utilising only the shared resource and developing it accordingly, the site could be completely overhauled at zero cost.

3. Monthly hosting

We can either submit all the site changes each month to your current hosting provider, or we could take over the hosting. This is recommended, as it's free with us, and it makes things so much easier.

Social Media development

Immediate start with social media platforms, curating content, managing engagement.

Linkedin

The primary platform will be used to help drive networking and show the business in it's best light, and can include some long form editorial type content.

Instagram

Instagram is a worthwhile tool not only to show the business in a professional manner, but also for targeted advertising campaigns or boosted posts. Uses short form content.

Facebook

Facebook is also a worthwhile tool not only to show the business in a professional manner, but also for targeted advertising campaigns or boosted posts. Uses short and long form content.

Google

Google Business Page management is very important to show the business in a professional manner, put good pics up, check reviews and user comments.

Monthly Budget Options

All plans will get the job done. They will just move at a slightly different pace, and with differing levels of quality. All videos, stories, pictures and other post types, are all improved by spending a bit longer polishing them. But every business has a balance between highly polished, and well cost balanced.

Additional, every business has different need for speed. We recommend a balance between post quality and quantity, and overall budget impact to the business

Timeline steps

We would start with requirements and setting baseline, and then within a week or two identify the current status and expected resources needed for each respective discipline, and thereafter develop a more embodied project plan.

1. Gather requirements

Obtain passwords for existing social media logins, or be setup as an admin or account editor.

Chat to DCS contacts to ask questions and gain more insight into the business model, the ethos that marketing should project, and the style of communications.

Obtain existing assets (content from staff, videos, pictures, stories if already written, etc)

Assess the level and quality of existing assets available for future use.

2. Curate & post social media

Start immediately with existing content that can be easily edited, improved, turned into post-worthy content.

Supplement with stock and archives of suitable content.

Schedule a trip to JHB if needed, to obtain some high quality material to be used for several months.

Begin to assemble the base requirements for the new web site (main services offered, i.e. "pillars of the business", which are most important and need highlighting, etc.

3. Website overhaul proposal

Start to build some demo websites to show what the new style could look like, and what kind of features and functionality could be expected.

Get feedback on early concepts and suggestions, and fine tune the framework into the desired site structure.

Build a basic timeline to roll out the website features as agreed to, and inline with timing commitment.

4. Rolling monthly

This is where the stability starts, and the rolling monthly work begins. Without knowing what awaits us in stage 1 it's hard to pinpoint a date, but would estimate very loosely that it should be around 1 month to reach this point, given the plan to use shared resources.

Creating content continuously, ensuring social media is well attended to and the web development moves forward at a suitable pace, to meet or exceed the committed delivery timing (1 month for plan 2, or 2 - 3 months for plan 1)

Once the web is launched, the focus shifts from web design and layout, to attraction and SEO optimisation.
